About Melki

I originated from Kinilow village up in Tomohon The highlands of North Sulawesi (Indonesia). I got to know about water sports since I was a 5 years old when I joined swimming club. I participated in many national and international competitions and became interested in diving since 1991 when I took the open water course and in 1995 became a rescue diver and started working as a dive guide in Bunaken Marine Park, Lembeh Straits and Sangihe Area. After that I took the professional level or divemaster in 2000 and started working as a divemaster until 2006. An opportunity came and I became an instructor and at that time started my career as an instructor and assistant dive center manager before in 2009 moved to Bali to work as an instructor and guide.

In 2010 I started managing a divecenter and became a dive manager in Bali and Komodo. Not only that, I also dived in many famous places in Indonesia, namely Derawan Island, Sangalaki, Maratua, Kakaban, and Raja Ampat. Until now, I am still active in diving, guiding, teaching, underwater photography. I am a PADI, SSI, SDI instructor.

Now my dream has been achieved because now I am starting to take care of my own dive center, although it is small, but my goal is to share experiences with other people about underwater life and make everything possible. People know underwater life is very beautiful so we have to take care of it.
